I feel free. Since church was canceled yesterday, I am sort of ahead of the game when it come to work. I’m not sure I have ever said that sentence before, it feels good! So many of my weekly items that I have to get done have already been finished. It is the first time in who knows how long that I can catch my breath. It feels good. Now I can actually work ahead a bit & spend a bunch of time prepping for my presentation on Thursday.
Plus, it’s autumn outside. And I got a Pumpkin Spice Latte on my way in to work. And there is a frozen (yet homemade by Nicole) dish of enchiladas thawing in my fridge at home. And Elle was pleasant this morning. And I got to play Apples to Apples with Chris & Laura last night. And I have found a new favorite scented oil that literally makes my smile when I smell it. And I’ve moved back to full time Diet soda (I went back to regular old calorie filled Mtn Dew when things were so crazy at work…about the same time when I stopped working out) and I’m not miserable. And I’m almost caught up with laundry.
Bottom line, today is better. What makes you happy today????

Congratulations on being ahead of the game! Enjoy!
I am happy because … A) Carlos Zambrano threw a no-hitter last night! B) It’s 60 degrees outside! C) I just read a most delightful blog by my daughter that made me smile!

I’m grumpy today so I probably can’t play.
Oh wait, I’m happy that I’m taking both boys to school soon, and then getting myself a Caramel Apple Spice at Starbucks. That should help immensely.
Also making me happy is that the dinner YOU made is thawing in MY fridge now! So no cooking for me today. Yippee!

I finally got past the 9lb threshold my body was stuck at and can finally say I’ve lost 10.5 lbs.
Fall is here!
And, while I’m not exactly *happy* that my daughter has an ear infection, she was symptomatic enough to need a doctor’s appointment and stay home from day care, thereby necessitating a day off work… but she’s not so sick that she can’t play and have fun. Except for now she’s crying because she just got in trouble for coloring on the wall with a pencil… oh heck, I’m happy to be home today, anyway.

I’m happy about an easy crock pot dinner cooking away making the house smell good and reminding me it’s fall! And reminding me that I don’t have to do anything to prepare dinner this evening!!
Glad you’re having a great day and that you get such a nice breather with church stuff.
Good luck on Thursday!

- Being able to sit here in my office with a sweatshirt on and the window open.
- That my house survived yesterday’s weird weather. As did my mom’s and my sister’s and both brothers’ houses.
- That I now have a wireless keyboard and mouse for this laptop so I can sit *way over here* and still work. Silly, I know, but I hated being all hunched over that laptop and using that stupid touchpad input device.

Sitting on the patio for 3 hours while reading a book – needing to wear a fleece and not having to put up with humidity – a really good evening here!
