Happy Halloween
Friday, October 31, 2008Have I Posted This Yet???
Friday, October 31, 2008Fast Forward
Thursday, October 30, 2008I caught a glimpse of the future today & it brought tears to my eyes (and we all know how much I like to cry). As we were pulling up to her sitter’s house, we noticed that Laurie & one of the other kids were standing outside in the driveway. I pulled up, jumped out, put Elle on the ground, helped her put her backpack on, kissed her head, sent her up the driveway to Ms. Laurie, & hopped in the car.
As I was pulling away she turned and waved to me. It was the sweetest little sight to see her in her trench coat & apple backpack waving bye. Instantly I fast forwarded to dropping her off at Kindergarten. She’s growing up way too fast. Slow down, Elle. I’m not ready.
ps: Sorry, Elle. I had to include that last picture. It cracks me up!
She Knows More Than I Thought
Wednesday, October 29, 2008Joe recapped this conversation for me…and I HAD to share it.
Elle: “Dad, I’m a boy and a girl.”
Joe: “No, you’re just a girl.”
Elle: “Are you a boy or a girl?”
Joe: “I’m a boy!”
Elle: “Oh. So you pee standing up!”
Joe: “True.”
Yikes…I guess kids pick up on that pretty early
It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
Tuesday, October 28, 2008I’ve been trying to catch this at Blockbuster for a few weeks now & it was never in…but tonight ABC has come to the rescue. Tonight ABC is airing The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown at 7:00. Elle has never seen it & Joe has to work late, leaving us the perfect girl night. We’ll pop some popcorn, snuggle in with a blanket for an hour (if her attention span lasts that long) & then off to bed. I can’t think of a more perfect autumn evening.
