These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things:

by
  • Watching Joe try to get Pringles out of the can.
  • Mountain Dew from the fountain…it’s good stuff, folks
  • Bare feet on a freshly cleaned bath mat (in fact, I hate it when Joe tramples on it with shoes on)
  • Freshly wiped kitchen counters
  • Ipods on shuffle
  • Elle begging me for one more kiss when I’m putting her to bed. She says, “Gimme kiss, gimme kiss.” And of course she gets more kissed every time.
  • Designmom

Ok, your turn…good chance for some of you out there to de-lurk & leave a comment…what are some of your favorite things lately????

Vanilla Coke. Heavy on the ice. Styrofoam cup or huge thermo-mug. Life is good. Preferably while watching my daughter drink her Mtn. Dew. (Want anything from “Hit ‘N Run,” Kelli?)

  2. Nicole Says:

Fountain soda is the best. Yum. And I’m with ya on the bath mat thing.

A salad with Craisins, walnuts and raspberry viniagrette dressing.

I love seeing my kids play with their aunts and uncles and grandparents.

    Freshly-mowed lawns, and a freshly-vacuumed house!

    Bridesmaids dresses that fit.

Fountain COKE with crushed ice…pure heaven

Freshly painted walls-and the smell of paint

Walking on the beach on a bright and sunny day

Long drives in the car with good music, good weather and good company

    Babies…

  4. Reda Says:

Hmmm. From a 1st time commentor: laying in a cool swimming pool with like a small waterfall sound.

  5. Ron Says:

Nicole. Please stay off the bath mat with Kelli. Thank you. šŸ™‚

    my favorite things today:

    -class being canceled unexpectantly
    -Carrie Bradshaw…but you knew that
    -ritz crackers with peanut butter
-You’ve Got Mail (I’m watching it now and thinking of you)
    -free time
    -shaved legs and shorts

That’s just today. This is a list that changes hour to hour. I’m easily amused.

  7. Nicole Says:

Ron, only you would interpret that comment that way šŸ™‚

  8. Dad (Butch) Says:

    Let’s see……daughter-in-laws, sons, daughters, grandchildren, etc.,etc.

o.k. summer is pretty cool also!

  9. Jan Says:

Ok, well I’ve tried 3 times to post my list and it disappears each time I click “Say It!”. So you’ll have to just imagine how cool it is. šŸ˜€

~Family that is so willing to help us with our latest home renovation project. Refinishing hardwood floors – eek!

~Our neighbor bringing us chocolate-covered strawberries – just because!

    ~The newlywed stage.

~Finally getting the honeymoon pictures developed from November and reliving Mexico!

  11. Heather Says:

Diet Coke from the fountain – but you could have guessed that one!

The fact that my almost-13-year-old still asks me to read bedtime stories.

    Holding my husband’s hand, anywhere.

Walking from airconditioning into sultry summer air – and getting back inside when it’s too hot!

  12. Jan Says:

    Trying again:

Thunderstorms — hold the tornados and hail

Teenage daughters that still come find me during the day for no reason other than to give me a hug

    Babies in the church nursery

    Babies…. anywhere!

Jane Austen and Charles Dickens books put to film

    Dire Straits music

  13. Denise Says:

Dinners at restaurants with out of town friends. I especially like that it will be without the kids, so we can have a *real* conversation (although I cannot promise that it will be mature).

Coffee!! (I used to be a diet Dr. P girl, and I quit cold turkey 2 months ago)

heart-to-heart talks with my 5 year old about her kindergarten experiences
