Colorado Part II

by

I’m beginning to realize that if I don’t write this stuff down quickly I’ll forget stuff…important stuff. Like how on Thursday (should have been part of Part I) the ladies went to Super Walmart & got a bunch of groceries for the weekend. One of the very important items that we purchased was Entenmann’s Donuts, our family is addicted. Scott especially is addicted. We were going save them from breakfast on Saturday morning, knowing that it would be busy & we won’t really have time to cook. Well, Scott wasn’t too happy that he couldn’t have them immediately, so I hid them.

Ok, on to Friday. That morning I made pancakes for everyone (while Scott searched the house for donuts). Then we played a few games of SkipBo & Apples to Apples. It was a nice relaxing afternoon (while Scott searched the house for donuts).

We headed over to the Chapel for a brief wedding rehearsal. This place was gorgeous! The attendants in the wedding were: Jim & Alisha, Joe & me, & Scott & Amanda…this made for a very interesting rehearsal. I have never seen my dad (who was performing the ceremony) so serious & frustrated with us in his life. It was pretty amusing. Plus, knowing that we were frustrating him just made us even more unruly. Jim at one point tried to start the wave with us attendants standing up there. It didn’t go over well.

We posed for a few pictures afterwards. Thinking that falling leaves would be pretty, we threw leaves on each other during pictures. Alisha got a little out of control when throwing leaves on my parents.

That evening we had dinner with all of the family & guests that had already arrived in Colorado. It was a nice evening. After the dinner we all headed back to the condo. We played some more Apples to Apples…but the party started after Scott went to bed.

He was wiped out, so he went to bed before anyone else (besides Elle, who again fell out of her bed that night too). So, we broke out the donuts and took a few pictures for him.

Well … I had mentioned to Laura that we only had one hour for rehearsal and that we would have to be diligent in order to get it done. She immediately gave me permission to be “The Wedding Nazi!” You know how power goes to my head, right? Soooo … I will admit that I might have been a little intense but YOU have to admit that we got it done in forty-five minutes!

    Case close. 🙂

Your family is great! These trip logs will be great for you to read in the future.

We found that we could keep our little ones from falling out of a bed by putting a chair —- back side to the bed — up against the open side of the bed. That way when they rolled they felt the chair and didn’t go further.

We forgot once — just one night out of a week of vacation — and Rebecca fell right out onto the floor. 😦 Otherwise she lasted the whole week in the lower bunk.
