Can You Find The Theme?


A brief synopsis of our Monday evening:
-Elle cries hysterically when Kelli picks her up from Laurie’s
-Elle insists on “helping” Kelli cook dinner. Pulls a chair up to the counter to help
-Kelli distract her with a movie while making dinner
-Elle freaks out and cries hysterically when she notices that Kelli put the chair back at the table
-Joe gets home
-Dinner is served (spaghetti, garlic bread & green beans)
-Elle freaks out b/c she drops the spaghetti off her fork. (repeat this 5 times)
-Elle actually ate her entire dinner & gets a brownie for dessert
-Elle insists that she doesn’t have to go to the bathroom…and screams b/c Joe makes her try to go
-Joe helps Elle go downstairs so she could play in the toy room
-Joe & Kelli sit on the couch…Joe on computer, Kelli on phone
-Elle climbs the steps to come upstairs
-Elle falls down entire staircase
-Elle screams, cries, and asks for popsicle
-We get her a popsicle and Kelli wipes the Elle snot off her hoodie
-Elle has a little video shoot with Joe. they act goofy
-Joe & Elle race to the bathroom for Elle’s shower
-Elle closes the bathroom door on her foot…and cries hysterically
-Joe manages to calm her down
-Elle cries through her entire shower
-Elle cries the entire time we are trying to get her pajama’s on her
-Elle goes to bed
-Joe & Kelli collapse

    Oh my. Elle and Libby are the. same. kid. Seriously, I could have written that same post about our morning–just substitute spaghetti for fruit loops and downstairs for her bedroom. I was to the point where I just about cried, too.

    Is it dumb Mom and Dad don’t know how to keep the perfect Grandchild happy? Or maybe Mom and Dad are fatigued?? I don’t know tell me …what is the theme?????
