It’s Bloggy Blog Time

Look at me…I’m blogging!!

Thought I’d jump back into the blog world by giving you all what you really want, Elle-isms.

Last week I got a text from one of Elle’s baby sitters (and a very good friend of mine) saying: “Ellism of the day…I think I’m falling in love with this man.” John Mayer was on the radio.  I love this child!

Several weeks ago Elle decided that she wanted to be a Starbucks cup for Halloween.  I laughed & moved on, but my Dad asked her why & her response was, “So my Dad will hold me and love me.”  Sheesh, kid!  You already know how to lay it on thick, don’t ya!  So ladies and gentlemen, I present to you…our Carm-elle Macchiato.  And yes, she requested that to be a Caramel Macchiato because she knows that’s Joe’s drink of choice.

I really can’t top that Elle-ism, so I’m going to stop while I’m ahead.  Leave me comments so I’ll be encouraged to blog again soon.

Well, Hello Autumn

Friday, October 1, 2010

Finally Autumn has arrived.  Today the girls & I celebrated by purchasing a $3.49 pumpkin from Trader Joe’s.  I had spotted this online last week & was itching to make one for our front porch.  I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out.  (Sidenote:  I’m not a completely awful mom.  We’re planning on taking the girls to a local pumpkin patch in a week or 2, I didn’t just buy a pumpkin for myself & ignore them.)

I'm fairly happy with it

The child has to be in front of every camera within a five mile radius.

We also went apple picking last week with our small group.  Paisley was recovering from a nasty virus so she spent the afternoon at my parents house.  Honestly, she would have been a handful there.  Next year she’ll be ready.  Anyway, have I mentioned how much we love our small group?  Seriously, so blessed to have them in our life.

There's just a little bit of personality on those bales of hay.

Our life has been insanely busy the past 3 months & because of that I haven’t spent nearly as much time with all the  new babies in my family.  My little nephew lives 10 minutes from me & I haven’t had nearly enough snuggle time.  And Anderson is still in the NICU & I have only been able to hold him once.  This is just wrong!  We were able to attend Judah’s baby dedication this week.  He’s melts my heart, I can’t wait to watch him grow & interact with my girls.

His shirt is ADORABLE! Who says they only make cute clothes for girls?

I love having them so close by!

And now we focusing on getting ready for Halloween.  Paisley is going to be Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.  Unfortunately I don’t think she’ll be walking by then.  A crawling Dorothy with a little Toto just isn’t nearly as cute.  Elle has decided to be a “cup of coffee from Starbuck”.  Not quite sure how to pull that one off yet, but we still have a couple weeks.  She can’t ever be simple…but I love her for it.
